What exactly is Tenable University?
Tenable University is an online training platform that offers a variety of courses related to Tenable solutions. These courses are available for free even to users who are not yet Tenable customers.
In addition to being free, the courses are On-Demand. This means that users can access them whenever and wherever they want; as long as they have an internet connection.
How does it work?
The first thing you have to do is go here.
There you will find the Sign In Now option, which will take you directly to the section where you will be able to create your account. If you are already a Tenable customer, all you need to do is go to the Login option, and enter the email address and password that you have already assigned to the Support Portal.
If you are part of the public, you will have to choose the Public Sign Up option, enter the email address and password you want to use to open your account and then click on Create Account.
Once you do this, you will receive a confirmation email. Follow the instructions, select the course that suits you best, and start learning more about Tenable solutions.
What kind of courses are available?
As Tenable points out on its website, the idea is to “help customers understand and reduce their Security Risk; through a complete collection of courses related to each of the products in our portfolio”. That’s why they offer a wide variety of lessons.
The courses are usually classified in groups, according to the types of solutions (Tenable.io, Tenable.sc, The Nessus Sensor Suite), and subdivided into topics related to the functionalities of each tool.
For example, the Tenable.io section contains courses in:

- Vulnerability Management
- Sensor Deployment
- Web Application Scanning
- Container Security
All courses are divided into modules, and their duration depends on each topic.
